Blu Girls open Canada Cup with win over New Zealand

The Philippine Women’s Softball Team made a strong statement by dominating New Zealand 5-1 to start his campaign in the Canada Cup International Softball Championship 2024 in Surrey, British Columbia on Tuesday (Manila time).

The Blue Girls doctorandw first blood in the second inning But New Zealand tied the score with one run in the sixth inning.

The Philippines, however, responded with four runs in the sixth inning to take a 5-1 lead, a lead they never relinquished.

The team’s impressive performance impressed by the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines President Jean Henri LhuillierWHO expressed his deep joy at the victorious start.

Tthe Cebuana Lhuillier-backed team, however, is set on a challenging schedule on day 2 while fighting Hong Kong in the afternoon and host Canada in the evening game on June 3.

Hong Kong and Canada are expected to provide stiff competition, but the Blu Girls are prepared and confident to triumph after their great performance against New Zealand.
