BORNA CORIC VS FELIPE MELIGENI ALVES PREDICTION

Neither of these two players has much pedigree on grass, and certainly not at Wimbledon. Felipe Meligeni Alves has qualified for the very first time, while Borna Coric has only reached the second round and that happened in 2015. With that in mind, this match has all the hallmarks of a relatively close and competitive match.

Coric has struggled with injuries in recent years and has yet to return to his best. He played at Wimbledon in 2023 and lost in the first round, but has been away for the past four years and this event is clearly not something he enjoys.

Meligeni Alves could have the upper hand in motivation as he will be full of enthusiasm on his debut. The Brazilian also made his debut at Roland Garros and he will be happy just to be participating. He should like his chances and although Coric is the favourite, there is little to dislike about the Croatian. The preference is for the Brazilian who comes this time and that is where the value lies.
