Bowker BMW Partners With Coach To Support Female Golfers

Bowker BMW has announced a partnership with performance coach Laura Greenbank to inspire and support more female golfers in Lancashire as part of the wider BMW UK Golf initiative, which emphasises the importance of community involvement.

Since the pandemic, the number of golfers has increased again. Since 2020, the number of registered golfers has increased by 5.6%.

Jonathan Rogan, Managing Director of Bowker BMW, said: “The sport of golf not only promotes physical health but also mental wellbeing.

“This makes it a perfect match for our brand values, particularly sustainability and community support. We are excited to partner with Laura and hope that many more golfers will be inspired to take up the sport.”

The partnership includes a range of initiatives including workshops, one-on-one coaching sessions and community events.

Greenbank has over 18 years experience and a specialist qualification in golf psychology coaching.

Her academic background includes a BA in Primary Education with a specialisation in English and Physical Education, alongside qualifications in Counselling and Mental Health First Aid. She is studying for her Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Laura’s company, LG Golf Psychology Coaching, combines her skills as a sports leadership coach across multiple sports with her understanding of the mental aspects that influence sports performance.

Greenbank said: “Partnering with Bowker BMW is a fantastic opportunity to reach more golfers, especially women, who want to improve their game.

“Understanding the psychological aspects can have a huge impact on performance and the new video series allows me to share my tips with more players in Lancashire.

“Golf is more than just a sport; it is a tool for personal development and mental resilience. I look forward to helping our local athletes perform at their best, both on and off the course.”
