Braves bring AJ Minter back from injured list – MLB News

13 seconds agoThe Atlanta Braves removed left-hander AJ Minter (hip) from the 15-day injured list on Monday. Minter returns from the injured list after being sidelined since late May with left hip inflammation. The 30-year-old veteran left-hander will return to a key role as a late-inning setup for closer Raisel Iglesias, so he should once again be valuable in fantasy leagues that reward runs for holds. In his three minor-league rehab appearances with Triple-A Gwinnett, Minter has surrendered two runs (one earned) with three strikeouts and two walks in three innings. He has 36 career saves for Atlanta in his eight seasons in the major leagues, but unless Iglesias gets injured, it’s unlikely Minter will see many save opps. Before the injury, he had a 2.95 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, one save and a 23:6 K:BB in 21 1/3 relief innings for the Braves.—Keith Hernandez – RotoBaller
