Britt Baker made her shocking comeback

As reported a few days ago on the website Women Between the Ropes, Tony Khan made some interesting statements during the press conference in preparation for the new edition of AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door. He spoke openly about the upcoming return of Britt Baker: “I am very happy that Britt Baker is almost ready to return to AEW.

She was injured and didn’t get to fight, but I expect her to be back soon. I would love to see him back and I’m really happy that all our biggest stars are back. It will be a great feeling when we get our big stars back.

Britt Baker is a great example. It will be great to have the doctor back in AEW, as well as many other great former champions including Jamie Hayter, Kenny Omega, Adam Cole and many other great wrestlers. For me, I know Britt Baker and the fans around the world will be happy to see her back and I am glad she will get the green light from the doctors to come back soon.”

Britt Baker Returns to AEW

These words became reality when, following the match between Mercedes Moné and Stephanie Vaquer for the AEW TBS Title and the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title, Britt Baker returned to Forbidden Door and made her triumphant and iconic entrance. She then remained on stage to defiantly watch Mercedes Moné as she lifted her two titles.

A clash between the two has always been a dream match for many fans, but also for the same Britt Baker who never denied that she would have liked to face the Four Horsewomen in one way or another. She recognized their greatness and their important contribution to professional wrestling and now we will see if they can handle the challenge with the CEO of All In.

Britt Baker promptly responded to the tweet, “This quote is taken out of context and incomplete. This was in 2021 when WWE announced they would stop signing indie wrestlers to focus on pro athletes. I think most pro wrestlers would tell you how valuable the independent circuit is to their development, and a lot of the girls you mentioned came from the indies. This wasn’t an attack on PC, it was in support of independent wrestling.”
