CM Punk is said to be ‘jealous’ of Drew McIntyre’s new WWE deal after huge salary announcement

Tony Khan is known for offering wrestlers high-paying contracts to prevent them from moving to another promotion. Now that Punk has moved on to WWE, he may or may not get paid that much.

Meanwhile, one of his rivals at the Stamford company has become a top star and is rumored to be taking a nice pay cut. Ryback believes this might cause a little jealousy from CM Punk.

Ryback discussed Drew McIntyre’s salary on his podcast. There were rumors that Tony Khan had offered him a multi-million dollar contract with some perks. WWE had to up their offer to $4 million to keep McInture with the promotion. This is something that Ryback thinks could get CM Punk in trouble.

The retired wrestler explained how Punk has his merchandise and royalties that can continue to generate income for him and potentially sustain his lifestyle. While Ryback’s perception of Punk being jealous cannot be considered right or wrong from afar, Punk seemed quite happy for his now on-screen rival as he secured a championship for himself for the first time.
