Skateboarding: Kusaki finishes 2nd in X Games women’s park

VENTURA, Calif. (Kyodo) – Japanese skateboarder Hinano Kusaki, who is competing in the Paris Olympics, finished second to 14-year-old Australian Arisa Trew in the women’s park final at the X Games on Sunday.

Trew won with a score of 87.33 points, 8.67 ahead of Kusaki. Compatriot Ruby Trew, no relation to Arisa, completed the podium, finishing 9.33 behind the winner on the final day of the three-day event in Ventura, California.

Cocona Hiraki, representing Japan with Kusaki and reigning Olympic champion Sakura Yosozumi in women’s park skateboarding in Paris, finished eighth with 68.33.
