WVU Volleyball releases non-conference schedule

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Intercollegiate Athletics and the volleyball team announced the 2024 non-conference schedule Monday morning.

The Mountaineers will kick off the 2024 season with the Wake Forest Invitational from August 30-September 1 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. West Virginia will open the 2024 season against Navy on August 30 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The Mountaineers will then take on Wake Forest on August 31 at 6:00 p.m. West Virginia will close out the weekend with a game against Hofstra on September 1 at 12:00 p.m.


The Mountaineers will then travel to the NDSU/UND tournament on September 6-8, where North Dakota State and North Dakota will serve as the tournament’s co-hosts.

The Mountaineers first play North Dakota State on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. in Fargo, North Dakota. West Virginia then travels to Grand Forks to take on Northern Iowa on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m., followed by a game with North Dakota on Sept. 8 at noon.

West Virginia next heads to Lynchburg, Virginia for the Liberty Tournament on September 13-15. The Mountaineers will face Virginia and East Tennessee State in a doubleheader on September 13 at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. The Gold and Blue close the weekend against Liberty on September 15 at 1 p.m

The Mountaineers then head north to take on Fairfield in Fairfield, Connecticut on September 20 at 5:00 p.m.

West Virginia wraps up their non-conference schedule against Binghamton on September 21 in Vestal, New York at 2 p.m.
